» Nano Sonic Sound System 12

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 10-04-23 20:44

Label: Nano Records
Format: Digital
Genre: Psytrance

Well, the strange probe known as the Nano Sonic Sound System makes its regular orbit of the Earth and drops a barrage of psytrance belters on an unsuspecting populace. With tracks and remixes from Jumpstreet, Avalon, KOBI, Waio and more, this twelth edition could be the best yet.

My personal faves on this one are the Jumpstreet remix of Think Nothing by James West, KOBI's Vibing and the epic We Found Peace by Brazil's Altruism & Burn In Noise. The epic playfulness of psytrance shines through on this compilation, as with the previous eleven editions.

With 20 tracks, the album has something for alll fans of Nano's blend of epic psy. Other highlights include Beaches Of Goa by Menog, worshipping at the Howling Totem with Hypnocoustics & Mandala and venturing into the Jada Jungle with Magik. The album ends with the Hocus Pocus Dance by Hypnocoustics & Colin Oood and Transitions by Tron and Zephirus Kane.

This edition is yet another highlight in the Nano catalogue and makes a good precursor to number 13 in the series. Unlucky for some but not for Nano? I hope not. Get it bought. This album, by the way, not number 13...cos its not been compiled yet.
