Flexagon

» The Towers I: Inaccessible

Reviewed by Pete M / Submitted 09-02-23 12:09

Label: Disco Gecko Recordings
Format: Digital
Genre: Electronica

The first part of a trilogy, Flexagon drops Inaccessible I, an album of electronic ambient and found sound based around Guernsey. The album captures sounds from towers and intersperses them with electronics. Its an ambient album and is the first stage of a trilogy of albums.

With this album, Flexagon flexes his production muscles and drops an album that is expansive and mysterious. The haunting nature of the towers is explored on nine tracks. Some of the tracks are epics, some aren't but all are interesting and fascinating.

My favourite tracks are Fort Saumarez: MP2 and Communications Tower. At 54 minutes, its not a long album but its a good length for a prelude full length. I hope the next two, personally, are at least 70-odd minutes. I do like the album. Its a nice window into Guernsey's past.
