Label: Diablo Traxx
Format: Digital
Genre: Hard Trance

No this is (thankfully) not a remake of the infamous DJ Sammy tune that we all loathe; instead it’s a vocal UK Hard Trance track which carries little resemblance to the aforementioned atrocity. It has an off beat bass came as a surprise to me as I was expecting the more psy trance influenced bass that’s been dominant in tracks of this genre for a while now, and the vocal floats over the top nicely along with old skool house stabs and trancey arpeggios before everything filters out for the breakdown. Here the vocal has short solo whilst bass drones fade in, shortly followed by the main riff and then a break beat section. The vocal actually works really well and kind of glues the track together almost, acting as the perfect precursor the main drop which goes down very well.

The Dizmaster remix keeps the vocal in the intro but after a touch of bit crushing goes straight into a huge bass line; basic, short and certainly no fucking about to be had here! This is unmistakable Dizmaster with a trademark huge reverse bass and snappy, minimal percussion. A short breakdown soon after the bass drop sees a simple intro riff that builds up, but it’s such a huge synth it nearly overawes the entire kick and bass. The full breakdown starts with a short burst of vocals, again bit crushed, before reverting to a simple pad and vocal combo that’s left to run its course. It maybe lacks the bite and dark tone of a lot of his other tracks but this is not taking anything away from what is for me a superior mix in comparison to the original.
