Label: Pitch Bend Digital Format: 12" Vinyl Genre: Hard Dance
Pitch Bend Digital is the newest label on the block and run by good chum of mine Trevor Dans. He has enlisted another bud of mine Scott Genetik for Hybrid. I’ll do my best to cast aside personal friendships and give a full and harsh review of this one.
The first thing that hits you is Scott’s production is right up there with the best of them. Pure no nonsense hard dance, with tight percussion builds to a wonderfully rolling bassline. A very typical uk hard trance intro riff, builds brilliantly and immediately fans of Alfie Bamford will be all over this. The breakdown introduces us to a wicked laid back break beat and epic hands in the hard trance riff. But this one really comes into its own when it drops after the breakdown, it’s a bit hard house influenced stomper. Giving it a much tougher edge, before we make way for that big epic riff again. it’s a unique arrangement from Scott and certainly offer something a bit different. A brilliant fusion of hard dance and slightly harder hard dance!!
It seems as though Mr Dans has picked up a real belting track here, and Scott is really cementing his name within the hard dance scene right now. All I can say is hopefully Pitch Bend don’t keep up these quality releases others my little old label might be out of business sooner rather than later!! 8/10!
