As we move in to winter, I can think of nothing better than a nice
uplifting summery track to cheer us up. This one's a pretty solid one.
Reminds me a little of a couple of Joey Negro tracks. Can't quite make up my mind whether this one will become an anthem or not. Whilst funky house still seems to have a fair amount of popularity, I'm not sure whether this particular track is innovative enough to really cut through to the very top level. I do think it'll get a lot of play though as it is a great one for the record bag. I think the vocal will go down well with the ladies.
There's 5 different mixes of the track which will be split across 2
releases. One on Azuli Silver, done by Axwell and Sun Loverz. The other
on the darker side by Andy Cato on Azuli Black. On the Silver I think
Axwell's Club mix is my favourite. It really goes to town on the
instrumentals and brings out the vocal with the bassline.
Personally, I was much less incined by the Azuli black mixes. They both
put a fairly darker, moodier spin on the tune and I'm not convinced as to
how well the backing sits with the vocals. I do like the bass and beats
and it would definitely sound fat on a Pacha-sized sound rig however my
general opinion is that I think there needs to be a slightly more
passionate or serious tone to a singer's voice for this type of mix. The
guy in this track just sounds like he's having too much of a good time!!!
But then again, who am I to criticise someone who's sold however many
100,000's of records!!!
