Time to get your hard hats on again folks as the new Feersum release in upon us! Their 16th release and still going strong, pumping out some of the hardest of hard house sounds around at the moment. At the helm once again we have Feersum’s original nutbag resident, and all round top geeeezer, Dan Madams! For the A-side he is joined by ‘Coastar’, a very talented DJ from New Zealand who has already begun to make his mark on the hard dance scene. In true Madams/Feersum stylee, this track is full on from the word go. A pounding kick drum, cool techy percussion, and a really driving bassline to get things moving where it matters! The boys have used an awesome vocal ‘Nows the fu*king time’ which works so well in a tough, hard track such as this. As the track build by the bar, more sounds are layered on top, along with some excellent squelchy hoovery sounds. Theres a discreet acid line used too, which adds to the hardness of the track, and sits nicely with the other sounds. As we enter the breakdown things turn a little more dark and sinister, the full hoover riff is brought in, filtered up and down, and sounds generally very dirty indeed! A short build and we’re off again to stompsville! This really is ideal last set material, and if you like your house hard, then this is for you!
The AA side is ‘Fu*k you’ (Deary me Daniel, what would your mother say?!) a solo effort from Dan, on a similar tip to the A-side, but with a darker feel. Dirtier sounding riff, and a deeper, harder bassline. All in all a good piece of solid, hard house, that does exactly what it says on the tin! Nice!
