Cern (AKA Jim Credland, Dom Azura and Adam Pryor) are being touted as one of the new breed of UK trance producers and if you listen to their last handful of releases you can immediately see why. Favourites with the likes of Paul Van Dyk, the Gatecrasher residents, Dangerous Dave Pearce et al they have certainly found the trance g-spot, but none more so than this their newest release....
Side A features the Northern Mix and I can safely say I have not heard a record as bis as this in a long long time! With a main riff reminiscent of DJ Kim's "Jetlag" or DJ Nick's "Space Vibrations" this tune is simply awesome and has been the peak tune in all my sets recently, and every time it has destroyed everything in it's wake (sorry I appear to have come over all Daegal ).
Side B features the Southern Mix and to be honest it is quite hard to tell the difference between the two, both feature the same tough kicks, bubbling bassline, spacey FX and monsterous riff. This version doesn't build towards the breakdown quite as much and is perhaps a little less adventerous in it's sequencing but none the less it certainly still does the job on the dancefloor!
You'll have to catch this corker of a tune quickly, apparently the few copies in circulation at the moment shouldn't be as there is some dispute between the artist and the label, so grab it while you can - this is one of those tunes that is so large that most clubs will need to have their doors widened for it to fit
