Label: Discover Format: 12" Vinyl Genre: Trance
After appearing on the debut release for this label, John Askew returns to the Discover camp for another hot trance cut, following the huge success he received with 'Vellum' during the closing months of last year. This highly anticipated single entitled 'The Door' has already lodged itself securely in the boxes of Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and even Fergie. The smooth helping of trance builds with quality layered synths, whilst an inevitably uplifting breakdown flaunts eclectic qualities that build nicely back into the beat. The flip side also offers some of John's previously unheard work. 'Shadows After Dark' has a solid low end and an uplifting sliced melody that echoes along perfectly, building to a shifting bass pattern over a superb synth sequence. Not to be missed, this is top notch trance from the Man @ Ministry!
