August is upon us and so with it comes yet more holiday fever, festivals and associated excitement but here at Gallery we’re not getting carried away with the weather and festival gossip, oh no, we have gone out and pulled the stops out big time for Friday 3rd August inviting three DJs who are big news around the globe. Marco V touches down for another of his regular visits and hot off the heals of another Combinations mix album Marco has been busy touring the world including his own arena at the world famous Dance Valley. The pint sized Dutch man always pulls a crowd to Farringdon for his techy, tribally sound and infectious smile. Joining him will be American DJ supremo and long time Gallery visitor Christopher Lawrence. Now fully recovered from his back injury that left him bed ridden Christopher has been getting back to some serious Air Miles as the demand for this underground trance and psy trance DJ grows. His recent compilation for Gatecrasher boasted one of the most unknown tracklistings on a mainstream compilation and his passion for new music and dark broody psy and trance influenced beats makes him a firm favourite on dancefloors worldwide. Recent collaborations include tracks with the likes of John OO Flemming and Nicholas Bennison and Christopher has been playing sets for parties as diverse as Judgement Sunday in Ibiza right through to Antiworld’s 070707 festival. Menno De Jong makes a welcome return to The Gallery to join this line-up. The young Dutch man has had a meteoric rise to prominence in the last few years highlighted recently by his debut entry into the top 100 DJ poll and Intuition events and radio shows including the sell out compilation release party in June. A true purveyor of the Dutch trance sound, he has been snapped up by Armin van Buuren’s management such is the heavyweight support for this youngster (he even bears a passing resemblance to the maestro himself!!). Joining him in the main room is our very own young man in the shape of resident Gavyn Mytchel and new trance talent Claudia Cazcau. Early door warm up comes from the Twisted Sounds, so get yourself all in a knot early doors.
Over in T2 King Unique are back with yet another underground splash of Curfew Time. Ramming both themselves, Spencer Parker and Bedrock ressie Neil Quigley into T2 booth is a sign of the success of Curfew Time with it month on month proving to be one of the most sophisticated second rooms across London town. You have been warned, check this out. T3 welcomes back Prehab with another debut headliner, Will Bailey. A regular it seems across the country and on every flyer and magazine advert Will has yet to grace the Mills with his prescience and with Prehab ressies Dave Irvine and David Murtagh plus local talent from Sugarshaker and Chuck Watts on offer there simply has never been a better time!!
