Having dominated the London club scene for 10 years, The Gallery is branching out into the CD market with the Launch Party of The Gallery Live Sessions, mixed by two of our globe-trotting Gallery residents Tall Paul & Benny Benassi (Paul’s mix was recorded live at The Gallery on Friday 7th January).
Out in the shops on Monday 4th April, The Gallery Live Sessions features the sounds of the capital’s most celebrated dancefloor every Friday night. Paul & Benny both deliver this year’s most essential club soundtrack and the two DJ heavy weights will be fighting it out on the decks at this exclusive launch night. Look out for more Gallery releases later on in the year from more of our favourite Gallery DJ Masters. This special event also sees the launch party for www.gallerysessions.com – our new website dedicated to The Galley’s compilation series which features interviews, news and downloads.
In addition to the DJ battle featuring Tall Paul & Benny Benassi, The Gallery welcomes old friend Judge Jules to tear the place apart later on. This Radio 1 icon, lines up alongside German techno hero Marco Bailey and The Gallery’s rising trance talisman Gavyn Mytchel. Brent Clark is this week’s warm up.
Mosey on over to Room 2 and you’ll find Backroom merchants Going Places taking on Kent House Collective Mongo Bongo in another turntable tussle, to mark the latter’s 2nd Birthday celebrations. Its full phatness guaranteed, as Barcelona’s finest Willy Sanjuan jets into town to drop some banging Iberian beats. One of Spain’s most prolific DJs and producers will play the peak time set, around a very special b2b session from Mongo Bongo’s ace residents and rising stars Anil Chawla & Marcel Kane. Going Places gal Tania von Pear gets tuff with a late night jackin’ house & breaks mission, plus Wildchild’s house bod Guy Hornsby warms things up nicely.
