So that's it? The great British summer gone for another year?
Not likely - not until ElectronicSessions have their chance to squeeze the last little bit of beautiful weather out of the heavens with the HUGE END OF SUMMER BOAT PARTY!
Relinquish those glorious summer moments of sun, blue skies and pumping, uplifting tunes as we cruise on down the Thames once again on what has become one of the capital's most popular boat parties. But who have we got laying down said beats, we hear you ask? Well, this month we've really got someone to shout about: Way Out West's JODY WISTERNOFF!
Jody started Bristol's most famous progressive house act with partner Nick Warren back in 1993 and has since drawn an army of loyal fans from all four corners of the globe. From "The Gift" to "The Fall" under the Way Out West moniker, to solo tracks like "Nostalgia" and the massive "Starstrings", it seems Jody can do no wrong with his defined, intelligent and uplifting style which we love so much!
Check out Jody's monthly show "Way Out There" on Proton Radio, with every episode also available from http://www.hybridized.org!
Imagine adding to that the cool progressive sounds of MAT ZO and you'll be getting a picture of what this party is about - Mat's rocketed into the leagues of the big names in the last few months with some huge tracks and remixes on labels like Coldharbour and Anjunabeats, as well as being invited to remix for Tiesto himself!
Fresh from the launch of his album "No Surrender" in June, our proud resident CHRIS SALT will also be on hand to dish out the dirt. We stand beside him every step of the way and if you haven't seen what Chris can do with a pair of decks, boy you're missing out!
We've managed to persuade STU COX to come back and play for us again (actually if we're honest he wasn't that hard to persuade!), so expect 3 decks, effects boxes and whatever else we can fit into the booth for a tasteful melee of beats, basslines and uplifting tunes from him. And of course the icing on the cake is SES MEMHI, the master of the progressive underground who's made such an impact at both ES and our sister party Plastic Fondu that we get inundated with requests to see him again after every set he plays!
And that's just the upper deck!
Championing the soundsystem down in the bowels of the boat are electro heroes FILTH & SPLENDOUR who, with high-profile residencies at nights like Itch and Maximal, have certainly proven that they live up to their name. They've blown the ES crowd away before and we promise you they'll do it again!
Joining them is the new Queen of England (as far as we're concerned!) - our beloved resident LIZZIE CURIOUS! She's the electro goddess we've seen you all with your hands in the air to, her debut album's in the shops NOW (so go and buy it!) and she's quite literally going to blow your socks off!
ROB & DAVE MARCHANT have become ES and PF favourites, so they're back once again due to popular demand, along with Break Out's CHRIS HUGHES and the ever reliable TIM CULLEN...
A feast fit for kings? We certainly think so!
Ahoy! See you all on board... x
