More: Lock N Load Events are proud to present an evening with Paul van Dyk, the World’s undisputed No.1 DJ at the award-winning Koko on Saturday 20th October.

Following the release of his acclaimed fifth artist album ‘In Between’ and fresh from his show-stopping headline displays at the London & Cardiff South West Four festivals, PvD or God as he’s affectionately known by his legions of fans, has been one of the biggest names in dance music for well over a decade. The Grammy nominated star has one of the most successful recording careers in the business, enjoying consistently high album-sales around the globe… whilst at a club level, the queues outside all his events tell their own story!! And queues are exactly what you can expect at Koko, as PvD makes his debut appearance at this famous venue - the perfect theatrical setting for this spectacular one-off club show.

Paul van Dyk has been voted the World’s No.1 DJ in the prestigious DJ Magazine Top 100 Poll for the past two years, and a betting man would put his stake on PvD completing a hat-trick come the autumn when the votes will be in for 2008. The great thing about PvD is the fact he never rests on his laurels. Take his new album ‘In Between’ for example. It’s testament to the strength of his writing and production, moving from dance into rock and classical arrangements with ease. He’s created a range of songs and styles that combine to form his strongest body of work yet with collaborations including David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Jessica Sutta from Pussycat Dolls (on current single ‘White Lies’), amongst others. In addition to that, Paul recently received Berlin’s Medal of Honour in recognition of his work with Ruckenwind - a partnership scheme with the German Red Cross that helps poor and disadvantaged children in Berlin. Here he joined a distinguished list of arts and political establishment figures with this honour. His political activism stems from a childhood spent in East Germany, when as a young teen he fled over the Berlin Wall to the West. Paul has held memorable television debates with East German Communist Party leaders, supports a children’s charity in India’s Mumbai, and lent his time and efforts to the US Rock the Vote campaign, where he joined the likes of P Diddy, the Black Eyed Peas and George Clinton!!!!

But it’s a DJ that he still love PvD best and his first ever set at Koko, should be something rather special indeed. Joining Paul on the night will be Northern Ireland’s leading jock Col Hamilton, resident for Lush, Portrush and Heat resident Ian Betts – a crowd favourite at this infamous venue. Men about town Gary Optim and 2 Phunked Up also star, with Love DJs and High Heels looking after the 4/4 beats in rooms 2 and 3. But all eyes will of course be on Paul van Dyk (look out for his grand entrance!) From pyrotechnics to glitter cannons, explosions and a lighting display to put Guy Fawkes to shame… if you only go clubbing once this autumn, then you know where you need to go. Pvd @ Koko… it doesn’t get much bigger than this!!
