123… ANYTHING GOES is back after a summer break…
Finally, the summer is almost over and it’s getting to that time of year where you would rather be in a club then stuck outside damaging your skin!!
We’ve had a month off from out regular excursions to SSB, and thought we’d come back with a bang this time round. After thinking long and hard about which DJs we should book for this party, we decided it was about time we had all 9 residents playing at the one event. And what we have lined-up for you is nothing short of corking!!!
Downstairs we’re getting back to our roots and bringing the hard dance and uplifting vibe out to play to full effect before our October event takes things to a different level previously unseen at our parties!! Warming up we have invited LA TWINKLE and MARCUS RICH down again with their sexy as you like house and breaks. Their set at the last party warming up for the likes of Graham Gold and Simon Rutherford went down a treat and this time is looking to be no different at all!!
Following from these guys, we’ve got LUKE WARNER taking on DANNY LUU in our first resident back to back of the afternoon. For those of you who don’t know, these two have been rocking London of late with some of the finest trancey business on offer and they promise to lead well into the next set..
It’s been too long since the last time and requests to get SEANY SEAN and STEELO to battle it out have been coming in thicker and faster than a blizzard in the Arctic. It’s time again for a bit of the now famous HARDBEAT EXPERIENCE action in the main room. The lads have been working extra hard to undertake the seemingly impossible task of bettering their last outing but gosh they seem to have done it. Look out for the promotional 123 DVD doing the rounds at this event mixed by these two criminal masterminds of the 1s and 2s, with visual production and programming by our very own TIM ANYWAY!! It’s worth coming just for the DVD!!
Next up are two of London’s most charismatic and best known figures; DAVE MAC b2b GREG BROOKMAN. Dave is well known as being a really versatile DJ spinning anything from K90 to Blim, right the way through to Wham at your grandparents’ wedding anniversary; but will be getting back to what he loves most and hard-trancing it!! If you think Greg needs an introduction then you will need your head examined. Greg is one of the most talented producers in our scene and a terrific DJ to boot, creating modern anthems such as Decimator, Panzan, The Butterfly Effect and so on. You’ve heard the hype, now its time for you to witness it first hand!!
That’s all the resident back to backs we can fit in the main room, so it leaves an odd number.
Unfortunately for him, GORDON DARLEY has been picked out as the odd one out. Very fortunately for him though, we’ve managed to secure one of the brightest hard house talents to keep him company in the booth. Having played all over the country at some of the biggest nights, Frantic favourite ANDY RISE will be completing this back to back in what can only be described as pure naughtiness; Expect a high volume of filth, some superb ability on show, another dollop of filth and so on. This will be a true north vs. south extravaganza. Who are you backing for this one?
Upstairs in the bar we’ll be taking things a little bit cooler with some ass shaking, floor funking house and breaks. Starting the afternoons shennanigans will be guest BENZ. With a firm fixture at Gurn.net events as well as regular gigs at Frantic and other events around London, we felt it high time we got Benz back down with some more of his trademark filthy house. Next on the list is resident DAVE IRVINE. Dave has been getting around a variety of events recently and I’m sure he’ll have some surprises for his return to 123.
We’ll also be welcoming breakbeat meisters HIRO & DREADEYE down for their 123 debut. These guys are coming down all the way from Leicester to crank up the breaks machine into the next gear with some proper style and we’re sure they’ll have you bouncing off the walls! Ending the night upstairs will be resident PYRO. While Pyro is known for his dirty, twisted bass line breaks he’s been found recently dabbling with the funky house, Elvis and 70’s funk. Who knows what’s gonna be in the bag on the night? Even we don’t!
So that’s it. Another cracking party line up that’s gonna give you a night to remember and make sure 123 stays at the top of the game. See you on the dancefloor!
