Age: | 38 | Background: | Evo D & Maxwell our north Wales based Djs and Producers. They have had track reviews in mixmag and had airplay on BBC Radio 1 and seen their tracks shoot to number 1 in the trackitdown and tidy charts a number of times. There tracks have been supported by Lisa Lashes, Paul Glazby, Andy Farley, The Tidy Djs, Ed Real, Jp & Juksey, Lucy Fur, Defective Audio and many more
On the djing side they have played alongside the likes of Eddie Halliwell, Kutski, Alex Kidd, Organ Donors, Paul Glazby, Mark Eg, Ben Stevens and Ed Real. Evo D & Maxwell are fast becoming the next big thing to hit the harder generation. Taking the UK's dance floors by storm with their unique style behind the decks and playing their own tracks exclusive to their sets giving the clubber a night to remember.
2007 has seen Evo D & Maxwell play at some top events and have had tracks signed to Staar Records, A&E Digital, Slaughterhouse Records and their own brand Nuwave Digital. Also with funky projects Evo D & Maxwell are showing there versatility in music production and the type of music they can play behind the decks whether it be a warm up set or full on hard as nails set.
2008 is already proving to be a good year with having already played as northern coalition, audio fury, clinic, wobble, mental with mark eg, frequency and their own event Nuwave, and having bookings coming up from Tidy and Goodgreef these two are obviously making waves. On the production side Evo D & Maxwell have been working hard to build a name for themselves with more tracks out on labels like Nosebleed Records, Testlab Records, Scum Records, Flashpoint and Nuwave and also there Vs series with producers Defective Audio, Ben Townsend, Rodi Style, Riggsy and Iain Sanderson and more to come there is no stopping them now. This brings us to their new alias for funky projects called Sturdy Kitz which will kick off in 2009.
2009 has seen Evo D & Maxwell have bookings for the mighty Atomik Weekender, Kiddstock, Hardcore Till I Die, Clinic, Sleepwalk, Zion and Gravity so far. They also have been asked back for the second Atomik Weekender and have been booked to play Clinic & Atomik on the white island (IBIZA) amongst other gigs.
Their new alias for their funky projects is well underway with tracks signed to Combat Records and there new sister label NuFunk Records. Their Sturdy Kitz alias has already been supported by Radio 1, Tidy Djs and Ed real amongst others.
Another big step for the boys is there hard dance mp3 store http://www.nuwave-digital.co.uk The aim is to bring on carefully selected hard dance labels to the store so that there is a quality control in place and also the cut on sales is double what some of the current mp3 stores are giving, so you will be putting more money back into the pocket of your favorite artists.
